before play is stopped.
“The children in the
[infield] field the ball and
then the ball gets brought
to the pitcher, however
they choose. They can
throw it, they can roll it,
they can just bring it. Then
once the pitcher has the
ball all the kids on the field
come and line up behind
the pitcher and they pass
the ball in between their
legs. When the last child
gets the ball, they run back
to where the pitcher is and
they yell in their loudest
voice, ‘stop,’” said March.
“At this point the child who
hit the ball is now running
the bases as many times as
he can.”
