12. It is recommended that a series <strong>of</strong> sites, out <strong>of</strong> those monitored for <strong>the</strong> BZE 2,<br />

should be selected which differ <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir effect <strong>of</strong> acidity and N <strong>in</strong>puts based on<br />

regional locations and represent<strong>in</strong>g different tree species and bedrock material.<br />

These sites should be periodically sampled for <strong>the</strong> foliar analysis <strong>in</strong> future and <strong>the</strong><br />

soil samples should be <strong>in</strong>cluded <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> sequential extraction procedure, mentioned<br />

above.<br />

13. In order to assess <strong>the</strong> effects <strong>of</strong> future management scenarios (e.g. removal <strong>of</strong><br />

crown wood for bioenergy generation), expansion factors for <strong>the</strong> amount <strong>of</strong> P <strong>in</strong><br />

different tree compartments need to be developed.<br />
