FREE Spin Classes
Board a spin cycle at the Eglin
Fitness Center for an hour-long
cardio workout that includes
sprints, hills, hovers and turns.
Spin classes are offered weekday
mornings at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m.,
and also at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
Evening classes are offered
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
at 4:30 p.m. All classes are FREE
to military and DoD civilians.
Parent & Child
Workout Area
A Parent & Child workout area
is available at the Eglin Fitness
Annex for children under the age
of nine. The area includes several
pieces of cardio equipment for
the parents and an enclosed
area set aside for children
with various toys and TV with
DVD capabilities. This space is
designated for parents to work
out while still keeping an eye on
their children, and is available
for use during all normal Fitness
Annex hours, Monday-Friday
from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Massage & Skin
Care Services
Massage Therapy and Skin
Care Services are available
by appointment at the Eglin
Fitness Center Annex. Swedish,
hot stone relaxation, sports
and deep tissue massages are
available. Prices for massages
start at $40 and skin care or hair
removal start at $10. Services
include a list of various skin care
procedures, hair removal, couple
massages, tandem massage and
full body stretching with light
massage. Discounts are offered
to club members showing their
club card, and gift certificates
are available. To make your

Golf Course
Club Championship
The Eglin Golf Course will hold
its annual Club Championship
on Sep. 10 and 11 for all golfers
who are Annual Dues Payers
at the Eglin Golf Course and
are stationed at or working on
Eglin AFB. The championship
consists of a round each day, the
first on the Falcon course and
the second on the Eagle Course,
with tee time at 7 a.m. both days.
Format is individual stroke play,
and the event will be flighted
for Men's Championship,
Men's Handicapped, Senior
Championship, Senior
Handicapped, Super Senior
Championship, and Ladies
Championship. Cost is $50 per
player, not including cart or
green fees. Register at the Pro
Shop before Wednesday, Sep. 7.
Link Up 2 Golf
New to the game of golf? Sign
up for the Eglin Golf Course's
"Link Up 2 Golf" clinic, held Sep.
20-22 for those interested who
may have never played before or
have only limited knowledge of
the game. The class offers a total
of 6 hours of instruction, 2 hours
per day beginning at 4 p.m. each
day. Cost is $69 per person.
Registration opens Sep. 6 at the
Golf Course Pro Shop.
Two-Person
Tournament
The Eglin Golf Course will host
an in-house Golf Tournament on
Oct. 8, with an 8 a.m. shotgun
start on the Eagle Course. The
event is a 2-person Modified
Alternate Shot format, using 60%
of "A" player's handicap and 40%
of "B" player's handicap, added
together for a Team Handicap.
Cost is $20, with lunch and
winners' prizes included. (Cart
and green fees not included.)
Register by Wednesday, Oct. 5.
Enlisted Golf Specials
Every Monday is Airman
Appreciation Day at the Eglin
Golf Course. E1-E4 golf for only
$13.50! Price includes green fee
and cart—a 50% savings! Ranks
E1-E4 are also invited to come
out to the Golf Course any day of
the week to grab lunch and to get
in some practice. Purchase lunch
($5 or more) from the Snack Bar
and receive 1 FREE token for a
bucket of range balls for use that
day! Specials apply to equivalent
ranks of all Armed Forces.
Rent the Course
Gather up your fellow golfers and
have the Eglin Golf Course all to
yourselves! For $1500, squadrons
may rent the course for any one
day, Monday-Thursday. Rental
price includes all charges for all
participants – green fees, cart
fees, and tournament set up.
For 120 participants, that’s only
a rate of $12.50 per player for
tournament play!
