when deciding who represents <strong>Westwood</strong> <strong>at</strong> UIL practice competitions offered <strong>at</strong> various times<br />
during the year.<br />
Costs: Students who go <strong>to</strong> practice meets must supply their own meals and sometimes their own<br />
transport<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />
Additional Inform<strong>at</strong>ion: Some m<strong>at</strong>h teachers give extra credit for UIL particip<strong>at</strong>ion. In the last<br />
five years, <strong>Westwood</strong> has won first place in district five times in M<strong>at</strong>hem<strong>at</strong>ics and four times in<br />
both Calcula<strong>to</strong>r Applic<strong>at</strong>ions and Number Sense. In addition, our students have won many<br />
individual awards.<br />
