<strong>CMS400.NET</strong> Methods<br />

Web Services<br />

<strong>CMS400.NET</strong> implements a single Web Service,<br />

ContentWS.asmx, that exposes several methods for retrieving<br />

<strong>CMS400.NET</strong> content. These methods mirror those in the<br />

WebService.dll file.<br />

The methods determine the kind of content that is made available<br />

(for example, a content block, a collection of content blocks, a<br />

summary list) along with the presentation of that information (for<br />

example, an HTML string or an XML data structure representing<br />

content block information).<br />

Below is a list of methods that ContentWS exposes with a brief<br />

description of functionality and differences from the applicationAPI<br />

implementation.<br />

All methods are demonstrated on the sample page webroot/<br />

CMS400Example\Workarea\webservices\ContentWS.asmx. For more<br />
