The POB-Bot Avoider is a complete<br />

screen, an Input/Output controller, a caterpillar<br />

The POB-Bot Golden Pack is a complete<br />

sensor. The POB-Bot Golden Pack acts on the evironment.<br />

Use the native pattern recognition of the POB-Eye<br />

objects to handle. Thanks to a springs system, you don’t<br />

have to manage the size of the objects to handle. A<br />

CD-Rom including the development tools, program examples and documentation isprovided.<br />

Programmable color camera A real brain for your robot, the<br />

POB-Eye is a color camera which allows you to do real time<br />

pattern recognition and brings the calculating power to the<br />

The Dual-POB is a board that allows you to easily<br />

create your robot with many kinds of things that are<br />

usualy not compatible. For example, many people want to use a NXT from<br />

LEGO with standard servos and analog distance sensor from Sharp. Now<br />

its possible!To program the Dual-POB, the user has not to be an expert. Of<br />

course a C langage is available, but a very simple graphical user interface<br />

named RISBEE is available.<br />

The Dual-POB allows to communicate usiong the serial bus od Robotis at 1Mb/s. This bus<br />

is made of Data, GND and +Power. It is recommanded to use a power equal to 9.6v that<br />

can go up to 2A.<br />

The power supply of the Dual-POB and the Robotis Bus is the same.<br />

• NXT Connector: The NXT connector is connected to I2C bus of the Dual-POB. It must be<br />

set as slave mod.<br />

• USB: For USB communication, POB did chose a FTDI ship. Many drivers are available<br />

for many operating systems. The Dua-POB can communicate with:<br />

Windows Vista x64, XP x64, Server 2003 x64, Vista, XP, Server 2003, 2000, ME, 98, Linux,<br />

Mac OS X, Mac, Mac OS 9, Mac OS 8, Windows CE.NET (Version 4.2 and greater)<br />

This ship FTDI works like a Serial/USB adapter, so the user only sees a serial port.<br />

• Bluetooth: The industrail Bletooth module (optional) is a Serial/bluetooth adapter. It can<br />

work up to 115200baud/s.<br />

Second side, the PIC board:<br />

• 18 standards servomotors:To get the best torque, the power supply of the servomotors<br />

is 6V.<br />

• PWM, 1 double H bridge: This double H Bridge allows to manage 2 DC motors. It provides<br />

a tension of 6V that can be modulated with the PWM.<br />

You can use a different power supply for the H bridge, a switch is to select if you use the<br />

default tension or your own tension. Mind that the power supply of the H Bridge is shared<br />

with the servomotors<br />
