Has the clearing been done in accordance with the development approval. Reply The clearing that has occurred appears to be in excess of that permitted by the approval granted for the premises and investigations in consultation with the Department of Natural Resources are continuing.

I understand he imposed a penalty or fine of $4,000 plus costs. Once council receives that money can it be applied to some sort of community benefit project in the Catalina area, footpath extensions or something? Reply The current budget for environmental compliance takes into account revenue received (fines and penalties) from Penalty Infringement Notices or prosecutions for environmental offences. The revenue offsets costs associated with staff time and differences between legal costs awarded and actual legal fees.
