Group Executive Committee<br />

The ceo heads the Group operationally in cooperation with the other Members of the<br />

Group Executive Committee. He is responsible for the development, implementation and<br />

achievement of the business objectives of the Group. The Group Executive Committee<br />

actively supports the ceo in managing the Group. It is concerned with those business<br />

activities that are of significant importance to the entire Group.<br />

The Group Executive Committee is entrusted with the following primary responsibilities:<br />

– Developing and implementing the overall strategy and achieving the overall budget<br />

– Developing and implementing the structures and systems required to manage the<br />

Group<br />

– Optimal utilization of existing resources within the Group<br />

– Exploitation of available synergy potentials within the Group<br />

– Promotion of cross-divisional cooperation and communication within the Group<br />

– Preparation and discussion of subjects and business matters that fall within the scope<br />

of responsibility of the superior authorities<br />

Members of the Group Executive Committee /Other activities and functions<br />

Today, the Group Executive Committee comprises 5 members. Effective end January 2003,<br />

Carlo Venturi, Head <strong>SIG</strong> Beverages Division, resigned from the Group. His successor,<br />

Ulf Berg, assumed this management position beginning June 2003.<br />

Particulars and information on other activities and functions of the individual Members of<br />

the Group Executive Committee are given below:
