Putting in place a bespoke
automation control system
for a €14m SCADA project
ESI’s in-house developers and engineers delivered
this bespoke system to provide a robust, efficient and
powerful, building automation system that was completed
in July 2007. It delivered this building automation system
based on the Siemens S7 hardware and Siemens WinCC
software for this hospital application, thanks to the
company’s expertise in building automation as well as
SCADA/PLC-based automation systems.
ESI was one of the few Maltese-owned companies on the project
directly subcontracted to Skanska. Skanska is one of the world’s
leading construction groups with expertise in construction,
project development of commercial and residential projects.
Other subcontractors included Swiss electrical engineering
leaders, ABB and Italian company, Aster Grossi & Speier.
