In case of Fire &
Gas hazards, ESI
masters the entire
process to ensure
the integrity of
the project.
ESI has developed integrated architectures to cover
various safety applications such as Emergency
Shutdown systems (ESD) and Fire & Gas systems
(F&G) to meet the needs of these critical sites.
Hot/Standby architecture increases system dependability
The Safety PLC ensures a high level of both safety and availability. Its Hot/Standby architecture
increases system dependability and its powerful diagnostics contribute to an extended Mean Time
Between Failures (MTBF). Overall, the unique design of the Safety PLC makes it inherently secure by
avoiding common mode failures using microprocessor diversity and Hot/Standby features. It makes
the migration from control system to safety loops very cost-effective with user-friendly tools that are
designed to mix safety modules with non-interfering control modules, even in the same holding racks.
ESI’s Safety PLC
In case of Fire & Gas hazards within the facility, ESI’s Safety PLC
system consists of three elements: an integrated and embedded
ESD process, Fire & Gas (F&G) systems and thirdly, fire systems
for buildings to monitor and automatically initiate the appropriate
action. Any such incident or unexpected event is stored in a
sequence-of-events file, reported to the security and control room
and dynamically displayed on an HMI (Human Machine Interface).
ESI manage large and complex
turnkey projects
Fire & Gas Detection
Based on Safety PLCs, these safety solutions underpin the ability
of the company to meet its Oil & Gas customers’ requirements. ESI
manages complex turnkey projects with wide-ranging expertise in
PLCs and safety. In fact, ESI masters the entire process to ensure
the integrity of the project. It begins with studies on hazards and
operability (Hazop) by the company’s Projects and Engineering
department. The design and engineering of complex solutions
then follows. Finally, the company initiates the commissioning and
maintenance of architectures for safety integrated systems.
