<strong>ESI</strong>’s systems are applicable to the largest of projects in the <strong>Oil</strong> & <strong>Gas</strong> industry such as refineries<br />

<strong>and</strong> offshore plants. Safety <strong>and</strong> fault-tolerant systems are fully integrated on to both SCADA <strong>and</strong><br />

DCS systems. So, too, is the engineering language. This language is the same <strong>for</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ard <strong>and</strong><br />

safety applications. So there is no need to learn <strong>and</strong> underst<strong>and</strong> a new engineering tool.<br />

The results of this approach are cost <strong>and</strong> time reduction as well<br />

as less maintenance <strong>and</strong> service work. The high per<strong>for</strong>mance<br />

alarm system <strong>and</strong> the integrated features <strong>for</strong> alarm management<br />

ensure the safe operation of the entire process.<br />

Plant availability comes first with safety <strong>for</strong> human, plant<br />

<strong>and</strong> equipment (HSE) <strong>and</strong> the lowest cost <strong>for</strong> maintenance<br />

<strong>and</strong> service making up the second <strong>and</strong> third priorities. The<br />

PLC-based system is completely integrated in our TIAS <strong>and</strong><br />

fully meets these requirements. The system (both hardware<br />

<strong>and</strong> software) is scalable <strong>for</strong> more than 100,000 I/Os. It also<br />

contains a high per<strong>for</strong>mance archive <strong>for</strong> its process values.<br />

The engineering language <strong>for</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ard<br />

<strong>and</strong> safety applications is the same. So<br />

there is no need to learn <strong>and</strong> underst<strong>and</strong><br />

a new engineering tool, reducing cost<br />

<strong>and</strong> time, maintenance <strong>and</strong> service.
