SWAN has delivered a major order to the Koudiet Eddraouch Power Plant. The Scope of Supply included: 24 SYSTEMS ENGINEERING Reference Project: Koudiet Eddraouch Power Plant, Algeria. Steam & Water Analysis System. � 3 identical water-steam sampling & analysis shelters for consistent, comparable and fast sampling on 3 HRSGs and their water-steam cycle. Each shelter is for 12 sample lines and contains 26 instruments. � 1 separate shelter for samples of 2 auxiliary boilers (4 sample lines and 10 instruments). � 1 sampling rack for condenser monitoring for indoor installation, combining chlorine measurement in condenser outlet boxes and specific conductivity measurement in condenser hotwell. � Modular set-up of sample conditioning with all functional elements for safe automatic operation (temperature protection, pressure regulation, flow monitoring). Side Programme Thursday, September 23, <strong>2010</strong> Half-day excursion: Trip on the City Tour Bus to Zeche Zollverein and red dot design museum 12:00 – 13:00 UNESCO World Heritage Site Zeche Zollverein The two architects Fritz Schupp and Martin Kremmer were inspired by Bauhaus, and designed the industrial complex to be consistently harmonised across two axes in accordance with principles of symmetry and geometry, constructing a unique model facility in the form of Zollverein Shaft XII. The shaft facility was built in 1932, and in 1986 was the last pit in Essen to be decommissioned. On 14 December 2001, what was once the largest and most beautiful colliery in Europe was designated a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO, together with the Zollverein coking plant. The grounds house a series of major institutions, such as the new Ruhr Museum and the ‘red dot design museum’. In this Capital of Culture year, the coal washing plant of the Shaft XII facility is the central visitor centre in the region. The trip continues by bus. 13:00 – 14:00 (Short) tour of the ‘red dot design museum’ The ‘red dot design museum’ is unique. It displays the world’s largest and probably most unusual collection of contemporary designs. Over an area of more than 4,000 m², around 1,000 products from around the world are presented – all of them distinguished with the ‘red dot’. The names of the designers and companies read like a Who’s Who of design. And all of this in the breathtaking architecture of the former Zollverein Coal Mine. Return journey by bus to the Intercity Hotel (central station). Services: Bus and tour guide provided for the duration of the event, entrance to and guided tour of Zeche Zollverein and the Red Dot Design Museum.
