Here is Thay Dosn who returned to
school this year with a lovely bride.
Ihe l.ord miraculously undertook in
this young man's life while hc was a
student pastor. He was taken captive
by the Vict Cong during thc '72 spring
oCfensive when the!' overran a small
tuwn near Quinhon. Little hope was
given (or his deliverance. hut ten days
later he escaped and went to the home
of Re\'. and Mrs. Chester Travis.
Over there stands Thay 1 rung. He is
from the rural area in Central Viet
Nam where thcre is constant fighting
for control. By looking at his smiling
face onu wnuld never rcalire the
persecution he has endured.
Once lhc government accused Thay
Trung of collaborating with the Communists.
He was placed in an underground
prison only w~de enough to
sit down. In the meantime his village
was attacked and occupied by the
Communists. They did not know that
1rung was thcre underground. After
three days without food or water, he
was finally released. l'hrough it all his
childlike faith never waxred. Instead
he is burdened to return 10 his people
with the gospel.
lo the right is ihay Lhh. He too
came from Central Viet Nam. Hc wasa
serious-mindcd young man, much
concerned about life and finding the
right answers.
He cntered the Cao Dai religion as a
novice monk in one of the temples. One
day he heard the last fivc minutes of the
gospel radio program from Manila.
His interest was aroused and he wrote
for additional literature.
Through that contact the Spirit of
God led him to Jesus Christ, who soon
became his Saviour. Kow he has
prepared himself to go out to tell the
good news.

my heart was naturally filled with pride
and admiration as 1 saw the students
come, one by one, to receive their
diplomas or degrees. lheservice ended
with the choir singing thc "Hallelujah
Chorus" as the audience stood to its
feet.
On Monday the students packed up
their belongings and cleaned all the
rooms. That evening was the great
teast of the year. During the year
several hogs had heen raised for this
event. Thanks was given to God for a
wonderful school year and for His
provision for every need. Then the 350
students and guests sat down together
at long tablesarranged in theshapeofa
cross.
I uesday evening all gathered in the
chapel for a moving Communion ser-
vice. As the Vietnamese teachers dis-
tributed the elements, we waited in
silence at the feet of the Master. Rev.
Ong-van-Huyen, the president, gave
the closing remarks.
lac that night the students came to
our home one by one or in groups to
say their last lirewells or to tell us they
uould be returning in the fall.
At 5:30 the next morning we walked
over to the school. Already three large
buscs had arrived. Suitcases, boxes
and students were being loaded. By
6: 15 the campus was quiet. and would
be for the next four months.
We lifted up grateful hearts to our
Heavenly Father for giving us another
year here. We asked Him to pour out
His Spirit in fullness upon the 186
students as they went out to all the
corners of this country to serve their
Master. W
