The span of any life is short and all the days and hours are so
precious. I hope I will have the strength to bear the inevitable
difficulties and disappointments and griefs of life and am able to
bear thgn with dignity and without self-pity. t{e all know that
suffering befalls everyone, and that although one may seern to have
been singled out for special sorrows that is not really so; that
worse things have happened many times to otherse and that it is
not tears but determination that makes pain bearable.
