The tennis team finished the season with a record of 8 wins and four<br />
losses this year which Coach Jan Hollack feels is an impressive<br />
record. On<br />
Saturday, April 28, <strong>1979</strong>, the Women's Capital Collegiate Tennis Tour<br />
nament was held at Mount Vernon. Jean Benoit (no. 1), Brooke<br />
Rosenblatt (no. 2) and Margaret McBee (no. 3) represented Mount 'Ver<br />
non in the singles matches. For the doubles matches, Tina Teipel and<br />
Martha Broeker as the No. 1 team and Susie Rammel and Lauren Venuto<br />
as the No. 2 team represented the College. In an exciting match, Tina and<br />
Martha beat the St. Mary's team to win the tournament title in the dou<br />
bles consolation period. Coach Hollack is quite proud of her team's per<br />
formance this year and is looking forward to another great season.<br />
