at Streetbar<br />
Streetbar welcomes Artwall coordinator and Artist David<br />
Farnsworth’s new paintings on paper in a new show called ‘What<br />
I did on my Summer vacation’, <strong>October</strong> 9-Nov 5, <strong>20</strong>13. This series<br />
of original watercolors were painted during the summer of<br />
<strong>20</strong>13 . Water, pattern and figurative, these paintings are straight<br />
forward fun and whimsy. The paintings seek that ethereal joy,<br />
those moments of ecstatic pleasure and peace that seem to<br />
abandon us too soon in an ever search for meaning..<br />
David has worked at Streetbar as bartender since March<br />
<strong>20</strong>00 and Manager since <strong>20</strong>03, after <strong>20</strong> years in the Pacific<br />
Northwest as a watercolor artist and hair designer. He is<br />
a ceramic sculptor and painter with a myriad of shows and<br />
jury selected works; The ACE shows at The Palm Springs Art<br />
Museum(<strong>20</strong>10-<strong>20</strong>12), The Palm Springs Art commission City<br />
shows (<strong>20</strong>05-<strong>20</strong>12), ceramic sculpture exhibit at Galerie no.8 in<br />
Palm Springs(<strong>20</strong>13) and exhibiting artist member at The Desert<br />
Art Center(<strong>20</strong>10-<strong>20</strong>12). David is involved with Silica Ceramic<br />
Studios, participating in their studio shows and workshops since<br />
<strong>20</strong>07. His ceramic sculpture and paintings are shown annually<br />

The Artwall Project at Streetbar was conceived in <strong>20</strong>03 with a<br />
two fold mission; to introduce local artists and raise funds for<br />
the AIDS Assistance program. The project now contributes <strong>20</strong>%<br />
of artist sales to the charity of the artist’s choice, including Palm<br />
Springs Animal Shelter,The LGBT Center, education funds for the<br />
Desert Art Center and the Palm Springs Art Museum.<br />
A reception for the artist will be held Wednesday, <strong>October</strong> 9 at<br />
6pm at Streetbar, 224 E. Arenas Rd. Palm Springs, CA. 92262. For<br />
