Description : - Vessels up to 75.000 Ton DWT<br />

- Length between rolling gates: 360 m<br />

- Width of the lock: 50 m<br />

- Water depth by low tide: 12.5 m (tidal range<br />

in normal conditions: +/- 5 m)<br />

- Equipped with rolling gates, wheelbarrow type


Project : Berendrecht lock, Port of Antwerp (BELGIUM)<br />

Description : - Vessels up to 125.000 Ton DWT<br />

- Length between rolling gates: 500 m<br />

- Width of the lock: 68 m<br />

- Water depth by low tide: 12.5 m (tidal range<br />

in normal conditions: +/- 5 m)<br />

- Equipped with rolling gates, wheelbarrow type<br />

- Constructed while the Zandvlietlock was in operation<br />

- Up till now the LARGEST LOCK in the world considering<br />

width (68 m) and surface (68 m x 500 m)
