The FIA Film Program is intended to <strong>of</strong>fer motion pictures that appeal<br />

to a broad and diverse audience in <strong>the</strong> local community. The program<br />

is comprised <strong>of</strong> a weekly schedule <strong>of</strong> film series and festivals in <strong>the</strong> FIA<br />

Theater. In addition to screenings on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays,<br />

special screenings are occasionally scheduled. The Friends <strong>of</strong> Modern<br />

Art (FOMA) fall and winter series accounted for 25 films in fiscal year<br />

2008–2009. The FIA presented 22 film programs in <strong>the</strong> weeks remaining.<br />

More than 6,400 patrons attended films at <strong>the</strong> FIA for <strong>the</strong> year.<br />

The Fleckenstein Video Gallery is a distinctive museum space dedicated<br />

to <strong>the</strong> exhibition <strong>of</strong> outstanding works by video artists. The gallery<br />

operates all day, everyday <strong>the</strong> museum is open, and features a different<br />

artist each month.<br />
