Locate: Child Care— If your child is 12 years old or younger, project Locate will f<strong>in</strong>d at<br />

least one daycare provider <strong>in</strong> your area will<strong>in</strong>g to serve children <strong>with</strong> special needs. If your<br />

child is over 12, Project Locate will send you a list <strong>of</strong> providers to call yourself. A small fee<br />

Disability Specific<br />

the deaf, hard <strong>of</strong> hear<strong>in</strong>g and general community. In Maryland, these programs <strong>in</strong>clude:<br />

Connections Beyond Sight and Sound (University <strong>of</strong> Maryland, 1308 Benjam<strong>in</strong> Build<strong>in</strong>g,<br />

College Park, Maryland 20742) Connection Beyond Sight and Sound is a partnership<br />

between the Maryland State Department <strong>of</strong> Education and the University <strong>of</strong> Maryland,<br />

College Park and serves children who are diagnosed deaf/bl<strong>in</strong>d. This project supports<br />

children <strong>in</strong> their home, school, and community by provid<strong>in</strong>g consultation, tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g and special<br />

programs, technical assistance to children, their families, and care providers.<br />

plans <strong>for</strong> employment or <strong>in</strong>dependent liv<strong>in</strong>g. OBVS also adm<strong>in</strong>isters the Maryland Bus<strong>in</strong>ess<br />

Enterprise Program <strong>for</strong> the Bl<strong>in</strong>d, which prepares <strong>in</strong>dividuals to operate successful vend<strong>in</strong>g<br />
