P ortuguese-born<br />
Luis Figo was one of the<br />
famous Real Madrid Galacticos and was in the<br />
team which won La Liga twice and the<br />
Champions League during his five year spell<br />
from 2000-2005.<br />
He joins other renowned football figures as an Ambassador<br />
for the <strong>Laureus</strong> Foundation in Spain, including the<br />
Spanish National Team manager Vicente del Bosque and<br />
international player Juan Mata.<br />
Luis also has his own foundation, the Fundaçao Luis Figo<br />
(www.fundacaoluisfigo.pt), and he commented: “It is<br />
an honour to be a part of the <strong>Laureus</strong> Spain Foundation<br />
and work on interesting and useful projects that<br />
benefit society.”<br />
