The weekend kicked off with 22 teams
fighting it out for the coveted quiz night
trophy. With the team lead by Morgan Watty
getting the win. Congratulations to the
organisors in partiular the quiz master Chris
Aimes.
The Prems backed up last weeks good
form with another good performance down in
Invers. The goals were scored by POD Mike
Still, the Cunningham brothers, Cameron Jnr
and TC.
The Feltchers were outplayed by Tech. The
lads didn’t show up in the first half but
played much better in the 2nd. Nick and
POD Jezza both played well, also great to
see Mils back playing.
The ABL lads had a great result deservedly
beating Melchester 3-1. Chis rolled back the
clock scoring a great brace in his comeback game, the even older headwas
superb, Billy scored screamer, whilst Jesse and Jas held it together at the back.
The Healthy Soils Whites had a rare off day going down 2-0 to GI. The few
chances the boys had went high and wide, but there were some good perfomances
from Logan, Lippy, Dan and POD Benno.
The Healthy Soils Blacks also went down losing 3-2. Brownie opended the
scoring, the Meikler couldn’t repeat his penalty heroics of last week and Phil
scored his first goal for the team with a well taken goal. POD went to Scott T who
was one of the few to play well.
The Brandwell lads were oytclassed but can hold their heads up as they
refused to give in. POD went to Andy who led from the front.
The Originals were 2-0 down at halftime against Tech but top
Tom Hanks and Aston Villa...
“I fell in love with Aston Villa because I thought the name sounded like an island off
Sardinia. A lovely place to go. ‘I am going to go on holiday to Aston Villa. We’ll take
the kids, play on the beach, get a lovely cabana overlooking the football field’. I try to
pay attention to how they do and they do OK” - Tom Hanks reaffirms his support for
the Villans. Though when asked who should replace Ged Houllier, the Ladykillers
star replied: “Is Brian Clough still alive? Can he take over?
