Archive information indicates that the ranges of this complex (FTO-008-R-01) were used for small unit infantry maneuver training
until the area was developed for military housing in 1987. These ranges occupy approximately 41.1 acres and are located in the
central portion of former Fort Ord, along the northern edge of the designated range areas. A sampling of the area located one
expended munitions debris item and 66 small arms ammunition items. No further RA is planned for this area. The area has been
transferred for use as student and faculty housing and future development to the CSUMB. The area is subject to the requirements
of the Track 1 ROD under the MR RI/FS program. An explanation of the remedial activities for Tracks 0-3 can be found in the
Cleanup Program Summary section of this BIAP. FTO-008-R-01 is also known as MRS-66.
No further RA is required for this range complex (Fort Ord designated site MRS-66) based on the Track 1 ROD. LTM measures
are required based on Track 1 ROD. The next five-year review (FY12) will serve as the site closeout documentation.
