This complex (FTO-012-R-01), located in the northern section of former Fort Ord and occupying approximately 141.0 acres,
includes designated military weapons training areas and disposal sites likely operated between the 1930s and 1967. Discarded
military munitions were located in some areas during IRP actions. An interim response action is complete. The area of the complex
has transferred. The area is subject to the requirements of the Fort Ord MR RI/FS. An explanation of the remedial activities for
Tracks 0-3 can be found in the Cleanup Program Summary section of this BIAP.
This range complex includes the Fort Ord designated sites MRS 1, 6, 13A, 20, 24D, and 24E. No further RA is required for this
range complex based on the Track 1 ROD and Track 1 Plug-In Approval Memorandum. LTM measures are required based on
Track 1 ROD. The next five-year review (FY12) will serve as the site closeout documentation.
