<strong>Gallatin</strong> City <strong>County</strong> Health Department provides home visitation for support and education to high-­‐<br />

risk pregnant women and their children up to age 5 by public health nurses and a social worker. Two<br />

lactation consultants are on staff for breastfeeding support and education. It also provides routine<br />

childhood vaccinations for children ages 1-­‐18 years for a donation <strong>of</strong> $15 per vaccine given. No child<br />

is denied service for immunizations due to inability to pay. It has a full-­‐service international Travel<br />

Clinic, providing consultation, vaccination and education. Communicable disease investigation and<br />

education as well as school nursing for area rural schools are also provided.<br />

center provides outpatient adolescent treatment, prevention programs and education on parenting<br />
