QHT sport First Informations about FEQHA Euro Cup Youth in Mooslargue ***** On July 23 and 24, 2005 there will be the first FEQHA Euro Cup Youth at Mooslargue (FRA). The Cup is to prepare the AQHA Youth World Cup and will be a supplement to it as it is an opportunity to compete in an international youth event for nations that were not able to do so in the past. Each European Affiliate can send its best youth team there. So far, individuals are not known, but quite a few nations expressed their interest in participating: Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Luxemberg, the Netherlands, Austria and the Czech Republic. More information will follow soon. German Western Associations united in anti-doping and anti- inhuman treatment ***** A very positive consequence was the result of a meeting of the German western riding and breeding associations APHA, ApHCG, DQHA, EWU, NRHA, NSBA and PHCG on April 9. The focus was on getting a common agreement on how to react when doping regulations or regulations concerning inhuman treatment of horses are not respected. The associations agreed upon establishing a common task force that is create a common basis of acting when regulations are not respected. In Addiction, a common jury is to be created which will enforce common punishment in these cases. The task force is to start working within the next two months. First American Quarter Horse Sale in Bremen ***** On May 29, 2005 there will be the first American Quarter Horse Sale at Bremen-Blumenthal. Carola Vey Quarter Horses invites to a sales show in the north. There will be progeny for sale by e.g. Smart Little Fury, Haidas War Leo and Fourteen Karat Jac. If you want to present horses there, please nominate as soon as possible. Besides the sales show, there will be demonstrations in cattle work and roping etc. plus barbecue. sport QHT Birkenhof Classic (photo: Albrecht) ***** Birkenhof Classic was organized for the second time this year. 80 horses were nominated, which were 180 starts altogether. This year’s programme was enlarged by two NRHA-shows of the NRHA Regional group South (Open + Non Pro), which had quite some entries. In the Non Pro, there were 25 competitors. AQHA Allaround Champion Open was SL Smart Goldolena under Sascha Ludwig. The stallion became third in Junior Reining, second in Trail and fourth in Western Pleasure. Silke Woitaschek became Amateur Allaround Champion with Cee Taris Sunshine, after winning the Trail and the Western Riding. Novice Amateur Champion was Klaus Mundt with TL Smart Chic Lady.
