Corpus Christi School
Gr. 6's participate in Non-Smoking Week

CHOIR TARGETS KIWANIS MUSIC
FESTIVAL
The beautiful sound that
you hear in the halls of
Corpus Christi these days
is the school choir, hard
at work preparing for the
Kiwanis Music Festival
scheduled for April. Under
the direction of Mrs. Nieminen
with the assistance of parent
volunteer, Roberta Chouchani,
the 40 students are
registered to compete in
the two-part harmony category.
They are concentrating on
two songs "Quelle Heure Est-
Il" by Craig Cassils, a
song about a student's busy
day, and "The Ballad of the
Lion and the Lamb" by Michael
Cohen, which laments the
lack of peace in our world.
Mrs. Nieminen reports that
both songs are progressing
well, and is truly gratefui
for Mrs. Chouchani's help.

Kindergarten registration

Catholic Schools junior kindergarten program. Senior kindergarten is available
for children who will be five this year.

between March 22-25.
All Ottawa Catholic elementary schools
offer a Partial French Immersion. In this
prograrn, children spend half of their time
leaming in English, and half in French.
This program begins at senior kindergarten
