Activity <strong>Report</strong>
Description (40 words or less)
International conference for <strong>geo</strong>sciences students that included oral and
poster scientific presentations, job fair, short courses, Challenge Bowl, two
networking events, field trip.
One year GWB project. Achievements: three <strong>geo</strong>physical field campaigns for
recording of seismic, <strong>geo</strong>electric, GPR and magnetic with more than 40
students from 4 universities, workshop for data processing, <strong>geo</strong>chemical
sampling, <strong>geo</strong>chemical analyses at Prospectiuni SA Laboratories, nearsurface
<strong>geo</strong>logical sections and pollution maps, training session with local
communities.
BSC of SEG organized the field trip for the SEP course held in Bucharest,
Romania 2010. The trip had 4 stops: OMV Petrom drilling rig, Brazi Refinery,
Bran Castle and Spumoasa Valley (Bucegi Mountains)
Each autumn, the Bucharest <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Chapter</strong>s of SEG, AAPG and EAGE
organize together a three day field trip.
Every year, BSC (of SEG, AAPG and EAGE) organizes a Christmas party for
its members and faculty professors.
A meeting opened to all students from our faculty that included 3
presentations from guests from Prospectiuni S.A.
