Early Childhood Special Education<br />
This program identifies children (birth to five) with<br />
disabilities, refers children to community agencies and<br />
trains parents in techniques that will help with positive<br />
child growth. It helps develop programs in public schools<br />
and provides home visiting services, as well as centerbased<br />
services to preschool-aged children.<br />

Educational Television<br />
The Media Division works closely with Iowa Public<br />
Television to circulate information and promote<br />
programming. <strong>AEA</strong> staff help local teachers learn how<br />
new developments in instructional television can help<br />
them. Most ETV programs from IPTV are available on<br />
video. Teacher guides and annual schedule books are<br />
available.<br />

English Language Learner<br />
Consultant support is available in testing,<br />
accommodations, curriculum, staff development and<br />
education plan construction as a component of district<br />
equity plans. An ELL Preview Library, a collection of<br />
materials available for examination prior to district<br />
materials purchase, is also available.<br />
