2010-11: Duke’s top performer in the 100 breast, 200 breast and the 200
IM during a standout freshman season … made her collegiate debut in the
season opener against UNC Wilmington, where she collected three wins in
the 100 breast (1:03.08), 200 breast (2:18.25) and the 200 IM (2:04.38) …
won all three events the next week against Maryland as well … recorded
a season-best mark of 4:25.68 to win the 400 IM against NC State and
Campbell … took second in the 200 IM at the Nike Cup (2:03.69) … anchored
the winning 200 medley relay against South Carolina and Queens … also
anchored Duke’s winning 400 free relay against North Carolina with a split
of 53.73 … competed in six events at the ACC Championships, breaking four
program records … just missed All-ACC honors with a fourth-place finish in
the 200 breast … also broke a school and personal record in that performance
at 2:12.27 … established new program and personal records in the
100 breast (1:01.31) and the 200 IM (1:59.37) at the conference meet … swam
the second leg of Duke’s 400 free relay at the ACCs, which set a program
record at 3:23.62.
Prep: Named her high school’s swimmer of the year ... ranked number one
in the state of Colorado as a senior ... state record holder ... member of the
2008 state championship team ... member of the Scholastic All-America
Team ... member of the National Honor Society.
Personal: Born Christine Lynn Wixted on Mar. 31, 1992 in East Brunswick,
N.J. ... daughter of Brian and Nancy Wixted ... has two sisters, Kate and Colleen
... hobbies include snowboarding and golfing.
