EMAC® DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
Emac® has its own R&D team that designs, develops and improves panels for the sole purpose of satisfying
our customers’ needs. The Emac® R&D department is made up of professionals with extensive experience and
excellent technical skills who are constantly learning and fully committed to the project. The team, backed by
signifi cant investment and collaboration with groundbreaking technology institutes, is able to provide technically
competitive products of high quality.
The importance of this department is growing exponentially and a new laboratory has therefore been built for
it within the Emac Complementos extensive facilities. This is a research and development center designed to
perform various tests, studies, inspections, analyses, technological monitoring and even prototypes in our own
Rapid prototyping machine.
Our work in research, development and innovation can be seen in over 550 patents and more than 30 pro prietary
names and brands by which our most popular product
ranges are known. All of this is done in order to protect our
products and the value of our brand, which is deeply rooted in
the market.
The tests carried out ensure the highest product quality,
compliance with applicable regulations and proper results when
fi tted and used in normal conditions.
1. Tension-compression: this determines the behavior of the
joints as regards expansion and contraction.
2. A calculated study on resistance to earthquakes.
3. Slip resistance: our products are tested as a complement
to fl ooring following different international standards.
4. Load testing: this checks the behavior of the profi les under
different pressures, simulating different situations such as
heavy transit.
5. Corrosion resistance.

7. Stain Resistance: ensures surfaces do not alter due to common staining substances in kitchens and
bathrooms.
