EXPANSION JOINTS SOLUTIONS
Ceramic lying must go together with expansion joint placing. Joints are discontinuous
elements which allow dilatation and contraction fl ooring movements and they avoid both
tension and damages that may occur due to thermal changes.
Novojunta® range is bound to cover the functional need of joints, adding beauty and
elegance as all Emac® profi les do. The selection of the correct model of Novojunta®,
should take the following aspects in consideration: fl ooring material, thermal changes
that the fl ooring will be exposed to and placing distance between joints.
STRUCTURAL JOINTS SOLUTIONS
Construction elements such as fl ooring also require expansion joints to take up
dimensional changes. The Spanish Technical Building Code (CTE) requires them to avoid
continuous elements of more of 40m length.
Emac® range of Novojunta Pro® has been designed to cover the need of structural joints
in an elegant and long lasting way. This model absorbs the movements of slabs and
prevents the fi ssure of the concrete. Specially indicated for great constructions such
as shopping centres, airports, parking garage...and are already assembled and ready to
install.
We would like to point up the new Novojunta Pro® Sismo Range, a unique solution in
the market that resists seismic vibrations and movements of contraction, expansion and
differentials.
For more information, please request our Structural Joints Catalog, where you will fi nd
detailed technical information on all our products.
