You do see: a bicycle. A beautiful construction with a frame as
reliable centrepiece, two wheels and many other components.
You do not see: the soul of this bicycle. All those complex ideas
behind the concept. All those long hours invested by a lot of
dedicated people before you can ride this MERIDA bicycle.
All those intensive discussions, precise drawings, dismissed
thoughts and tough test runs on prototypes. You do not see: the
welders, the varnishers, the busy hands of the mechanics, the
warehouse staff or the quality management. You do not see: our
great passion.
But it is exactly this passion which distinguishes a MERIDA from
all other bicycles. Since company founder Ike Tseng opened his
first production plant in 1972, each and every MERIDA bike has
been representing his spirit and his credo “Move with passion and
courage!” So we are still moving forward – always driven by the
convictions that each and every MERIDA model has to become a
very special one. Because in the end, it is determined to become
your bike! That’s why the experienced engineers and designers
of the German R&D headquarters co-operate very closely with
our competent Taiwanese production experts – right from the
very first blueprints and during all following working stages. No
CAD drawing remains untuned, no question about the possible
specifications of the respective bike model remains unanswered
– not to forget: globally in 77 countries whose distributors always
observe the respective national markets and trends with ultimate
attention. That’s why they already know today what you as a
MERIDA customer will desire tomorrow. Only due to this fact, we
are able to offer you a wide range of excellent bikes which carries
rightly and proudly the MERIDA signet on the head tube and our
logo on the down tube.
After a quarter of a century, MERIDA stands for bicycles
