3.4.3 Withdrawal of Entry. An entry may be withdrawn if notification of the withdrawal is received in writing by GRAND-AM prior to the start of the first Official Session for such Event. An Entrant who does not properly withdraw forfeits all entry fees. 25% of the entry fee is retained for all withdrawn entries. 3.4.4 Declined Payment. Declined credit cards or returned checks may result in suspension of Membership until the debt and any service charges are paid in full. A service charge of $50 is payable for each instance. Multiple declined credit cards and/or returned checks may require future payments to be made by cash or cashier’s check only. 3.5 GRAND-AM Officials 3.5.1 Officials. The staff of Officials, whose duty it is to direct and control the Event may include: Race Director, Technical Manager, Series Manager, Chief Scorer and Director of Member Services. 3.5.2 Official Assistants. Officials may have assistants, also termed “Officials,” to whom any of their duties may be delegated, including but not limited to the following: a. Starter/Flag Marshals. Operating under the direction of the Race Control to signal to Competitors during all Sessions. b. Pit/Paddock/Grid Marshals. Operating under the Series Manager to enforce the Regulations of the pits, Paddock and grid. c. Safety Car Team. Operating under the control of the Race Director for the coordination of the Safety Car(s). 3.5.3 Race Director. The Race Director is responsible for the general conduct of all aspects of competitions at an Event and ensures that all provisions of the Regulations are followed. 3.5.4 Technical Manager. The Technical Manager, reporting to the Race Director, is the authority enforcing the Technical Regulations. He has the authority to amend and/or add to the Technical Regulations, and to make adjustments to Car specifications effective immediately, if deemed necessary. 20
3.5.5 Series Manager. The Series Manager, reporting to the Race Director, is the authority in enforcing Paddock and pit Regulations. 3.5.6 Director of Member Services. The Director of Member Services, reporting directly to the Managing Director of Competition, is responsible for certifying and processing all entries, Memberships, registrations and credentialing. 3.5.7 Chief Scorer. The Chief Scorer, reporting to the Race Director, is responsible for managing the official timing and scoring system(s) at the Event. 3.6 Identification Markings. All participating Cars and Competitors must display mandatory decals and patches without exception and/or modification. GRAND-AM reserves the right to approve final placement for all identification markings in its sole discretion and such decisions are Conclusive. Failure to display mandatory decals and patches as required may result in penalties. 3.6.1 Mandatory Markings a. Competition Number and Windscreen Identification. Competition numbers and windshield banners (if applicable) must be displayed on the Car in accordance with the GCR and the applicable Patch and Decal Diagram as published on GRAND-AM.com. b. GRAND-AM, Series and Sponsor Identification. GRAND-AM, Series sponsor and Series decal and/or patch identification must be displayed on each Car and uniform as shown in the applicable patch and Decal Diagram. GRAND-AM may require an Event decal and/or patch to be displayed in locations as specified in the Supplementary Regulations. c. Transporter and Pit Equipment Identification. All transporters and pit equipment must have the Series identification displayed as provided and specified by GRAND-AM on GRAND-AM.com. 3.6.2 Prohibited Marking. All conflicting product or service identification of any kind must be removed from Cars and uniforms while participating in an Event, including but not limited to conflicting series sanctioning body(ies) and/or fuel or tire companies.
