5.0 PENSIONER SUPPORT PROGRAM (CHRISTMAS BONUS)<br />
5.1 Aim of the Program<br />
The aim of the <strong>program</strong> is to improve the health and well being of <strong>Gumala</strong><br />
Members who are Aged (50 and over as of the 31 st of December) or Disabled<br />
Pensioners (as per their DSP Centrelink card) through providing additional<br />
assistance over the financially difficult Christmas period.<br />
Please note: Where the Members Date of Birth is in question by GAC the<br />
Member will be asked to provide proof of age (e.g. any official<br />
document which states their DOB - birth certificate, passport, Centrelink<br />
documentation (income statement, etc), certificate of <strong>Aboriginal</strong>ity, etc).<br />
The Member may access the fund in one of the following ways:<br />
5.1.1 Lump sum payment of $2900<br />
5.1.2 Fortnightly instalment of $111.54 (over 26 fortnights)<br />
5.1.3 Lump sum upfront and fortnightly instalments e.g.<br />
• Lump sum of $1000<br />
• Fortnightly instalments of $73.00 (over 26 fortnights)<br />
The payment will be made directly into the eligible Members bank account.<br />
A statutory declaration will be required, from both the account holder and the<br />
Member, if the Member wishes to use someone else’s bank account (this<br />
paperwork is attached to the application)<br />
Anyone assisting a <strong>member</strong> to complete the form is required to provide their<br />
name and contact details on the Pensioner Support Application Form.<br />
Please note: The <strong>Gumala</strong> CEO and the Board reserve the right to alter the<br />
eligibility to this <strong>program</strong>.<br />
Members booking goods and <strong>services</strong> should comply with D.1,<br />
D.2 and D.3 (as per the addendum of the GAC MSU Guidelines).<br />
5.2 Amount of Program<br />
The <strong>program</strong> will not exceed $2,900 per eligible Member.<br />
The <strong>program</strong> will run from 01.07.11 to 30.06.12 and left over funds from<br />
2010/11 will NOT be carried over (subject to funding being provided to GAC by the<br />
Trustee).<br />
5.3 Eligibility<br />
<strong>Gumala</strong> Members are eligible for this <strong>program</strong> if:<br />
