PART VI | 15. PORT INSPECTIONS PORT OF PRIMORSK 15.1 GENERAL The Paris Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Port State Control aims at eliminating the operation of sub-standard ships through a harmonized system of Port State Control inspections on foreign ships in the Paris MOU ports. The organisation with their member states covers the waters of the European coast and the North Atlantic basin from Canada to Europe. Russia is a part of MOU. 15.2 INSPECTIONS FROM PORT STATE CONTROL Carried-out by port state control officers from port administration under Harbour Master supervision. 15.3 INSPECTIONS FROM OTHER PARTIES Available from OCIMF members, charterer of freighter representatives or recognized organization. 45
