PORT OF PRIMORSK<br />
15.1 GENERAL<br />
The Paris Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on <strong>Port</strong> State Control aims at<br />
eliminating the operation of sub-standard ships through a harmonized system of <strong>Port</strong><br />
State Control inspections on foreign ships in the Paris MOU ports.<br />
The organisation with their member states covers the waters of the European coast and<br />
the North Atlantic basin from Canada to Europe. Russia is a part of MOU.<br />
15.2 INSPECTIONS FROM PORT STATE<br />
CONTROL<br />
Carried-out by port state control officers from port administration under Harbour Master<br />
supervision.<br />
15.3 INSPECTIONS FROM OTHER PARTIES<br />
Available from OCIMF members, charterer of freighter representatives or recognized<br />
organization.<br />
