Transmission
& Distribution
To adapt to today's and tomorrow's operational and regulatory requirements,
transmission and distribution systems must accommodate new and variable energy
sources, as well as changing load growth behavior from population patterns and
industrial activities. New smart and efficient technologies are coming to the forefront
for connection to, and coordination with, transmission and distribution networks.
Hatch has a long history of success in all areas of the transmission and
distribution industry: design and construction; network performance and planning;
and asset management. We have planned, designed and constructed more than
20,000 km of high-voltage transmission lines, 500 substations and 100,000 km of
distribution lines worldwide.
Our energy professionals are among the most respected in the business. We develop
new techniques for protection, control and automation, and design practical
procedures to improve efficiency while balancing investment costs with safety
and profitability – always with a view to long-term system stability.
