FLUE GAS EMISSION REDUCTION The combustion of fossil fuels produces particulate matter, NO x , SO 2 , mercury and other emissions that can be effectively controlled and mitigated by the application of selective catalytic reduction (SCR), flue gas desulfurization (FGD) and mercury-capture technologies. Hatch addresses process and retrofit constraints through process modeling and designs robust equipment using finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics and diligent material selection.
