0.0 Scope of Work 12 INSTRUCTION TO THE TENDERERS Sealed tenders are invited by the Chief Manager (PSS), UNION Bank Of India, Sayajigunj, VADODRA for and on behalf of union Bank of India for the work of INTERIOR & FURNISHING WORK AT UBI, DEVA BRANCH,DEVA FOR CIVIL , INTERIOR,ELECTRICAL & ALLIED WORKS. 0.1 Site and its location: The proposed work is to be carried out at Deva branch,Deva near Nadiad. 1.0 Tender Documents 1.1 The work has to be carried out strictly according to the condition stipulated in the tender consisting the following documents and the most workmen like manner. Instructions to tenderers General Conditions of Contract Special Condition of Contract Additional Specifications Drawings Price Bid Etc. 1.2 The above documents shall be taken as complementary and mutually explanatory of one another but in case of ambiguities or discrepancies, shall take precedence in the order given below : (a) Price bid (b) Additional Specifications & Conditions and NIT (c) Technical Specifications (d) Drawings (e) Special Condition of Contract (f) General Condition of Contract (g) Instructions to Tenders 1.3 Complete set of tender documents including relative drawings can be obtained in person from the office of the Architects on any day during office hours except holidays during the period mentioned in the NIT on payment of Rs. by means of cash/ Cheque/ DD/ drawn in favor of the architects 1.4 The tender documents are not transferable. 2.0 Site Visit 2.1 The tenderer must obtain himself on his own responsibility and his own expenses all information and data which may be required for the purpose of filling this tender document and enter into a contract for the satisfactory performance of the work. The tenderer is requested to satisfy himself regarding the availability of water, power, transport and communication facilities, the character quality and Tender Document UBI Deva branch
13 quantity of the materials, labour, the law and order situations, climatic conditions, local authorities requirement, traffic regulations etc; The tenderer will be fully responsible for considering the financial effect of any or all the factors while submitting his tender. 3.0 Earnest Money 3.1 The tenderer are requested to submit the Earnest Money as described herein above in NIT. 3.2 EMD in any other form other than as specified above will not be accepted. Tender not accompanied by the EMD in accordance with clause 4.1 above shall be rejected. 3.3 No interest will be paid on the EMD 3.4 EMD of unsuccessful tenderer will be refunded with in 30 days of award of contract. 3.5 EMD of successful tenderer will be retained as a part of security deposit. 4.0 Initial Security Deposit 4.1 The EMD of successful tenderer shall be termed as Initial Security Deposit (ISD) which shall be refunded to the contractor as soon as TSD/Retention Amount is deposited by the contractor/retained by the Bank. ISD shall not bear any interest. 5.0 Total Security Deposit (TSD) / Retention Amount 5.1 Total Security Deposit shall be 5% of contract value which shall be deducted from the bill/s of the contractor by way of Retention Amount. TSD shall be refunded to the contractor on satisfactory completion of Defect Liability Period. 5.2 No interest shall be paid on the amount retained by the Bank as Security Deposit. 6.0 Signing of contract documents The successful tenderer shall be bound to implement the contract by signing agreement and conditions of contract attached herewith within 30 days from the receipt of intimation of acceptance of his tender by the Bank. However, the written acceptance of the tender by the Bank will constitute a binding agreement between the Bank and successful tenderer whether such formal agreement is subsequently entered into or not. 7.0 Completion period Time is essence of the contract. The work should be completed in all respects in accordance with the terms of contract within a period as specified in the NIT Tender Document UBI Deva branch
