2011 - Hong Kong Institute of Accredited Accounting Technicians

The end of a year gives us a chance to take stock of what we have
achieved and to set our future direction. After a year packed with
initiatives, I am glad to share with you our accomplishments, some of
which mark important milestones in our development.
一 年 過 去 , 又 是 我 們 檢 討 成 績 、 計 劃 將 來 的 時 候 。
一 年 來 我 們 推 展 了 多 項 計 劃 , 在 此 欣 然 與 各 位 分 享
我 們 所 取 得 的 成 果 , 當 中 部 分 更 成 為 我 們 發 展 的 重
要 里 程 碑 。
Our top priorities are enhancing the status and raising the value of AATs.
To achieve this, we have been dedicating ourselves to promoting our
AAT qualification to various stakeholders, seeking their recognition of
AATs’ value. During the year, we approached thousands of employers,
giving them information about our AAT qualification and our free
employment placement service. As a result, more and more employers
are looking for AATs to take up their accounting positions. By putting
greater effort into increasing employers’ awareness about the attributes
of AATs, we are confident that AATs will benefit from even more
recognition from employers in the years to come.
我 們 一 直 以 提 升 認 可 財 務 會 計 員 的 地 位 及 價 值 為 首
要 任 務 , 為 此 , 我 們 積 極 向 各 界 推 薦 認 可 財 務 會 計
員 資 格 , 爭 取 大 眾 對 他 們 的 肯 定 。 年 內 , 我 們 向 數
以 千 計 的 僱 主 介 紹 認 可 財 務 會 計 員 資 格 , 提 供 免 費
招 聘 平 台 讓 他 們 找 尋 合 適 的 人 才 。 看 到 愈 來 愈 多 僱
主 聘 用 認 可 財 務 會 計 員 擔 任 會 計 工 作 , 我 們 很 感 欣
慰 。 我 們 將 會 更 力 向 僱 主 推 介 認 可 財 務 會 計 員 的
特 質 , 相 信 在 未 來 的 日 子 我 們 可 以 獲 得 更 多 僱 主 的
認 同 。
Lifelong learning is crucial to continued success. In 2009, our parent
institute, the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs, together with the Open
University of Hong Kong, launched the Bachelor of Professional
Accounting with Honours programme. This tailor-made programme
for AAT graduates helps them prepare for the professional bridging
examination while attaining a degree. We are delighted that the
programme has given our graduates an opportunity to get a higher
academic and professional qualification. The first batch of five students
who have just graduated are now degree holders and are eligible to
study for the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs’ qualification programme.
終 身 學 習 乃 持 續 成 功 的 關 鍵 。 二 零 零 九 年 , 我 們 的
母 機 構 香 港 會 計 師 公 會 與 香 港 公 開 大 學 合 辦 專 業 會
計 榮 譽 學 士 課 程 。 這 個 專 為 財 務 會 計 員 考 試 畢 業 生
而 設 的 學 位 課 程 , 讓 學 生 在 取 得 大 學 學 位 的 同 時 ,
亦 協 助 他 們 準 備 專 業 晉 階 考 試 。 我 們 很 高 興 該 課 程
能 讓 畢 業 生 一 展 所 長 , 取 得 更 高 學 歷 和 專 業 資 格 。
首 批 五 名 畢 業 生 已 取 得 學 士 學 位 , 並 符 合 資 格 參 加
香 港 會 計 師 公 會 的 專 業 資 格 課 程 。
Our goals include helping the young generation enter the accounting
profession. As part of this focus we have offered the applied learning
course “practical accounting for SMEs” to senior secondary students
since 2005. In order to attract more new entrants to the profession,
we have taken another exciting step this year with our launch of the
new AAT foundation examination in August 2011. This is a tailor-made
examination that helps students meet the broadening requirements of
the New Senior Secondary curriculum by incorporating the business,
accounting and financial studies syllabus as part of our professional
training in the articulation path to becoming a CPA. It is very encouraging
to know that the new examination has received a positive response
from secondary school students who are preparing for the Hong Kong
Diploma for Secondary Education.
培 育 年 輕 一 代 投 身 會 計 專 業 是 我 們 的 目 標 之 一 , 因
此 我 們 自 二 零 零 五 年 起 已 為 高 中 生 開 辦 應 用 學 習 課
程 「 中 小 企 實 用 電 腦 會 計 」。 為 吸 引 更 多 新 力 軍 加
入 會 計 專 業 , 我 們 再 進 一 步 , 於 二 零 一 一 年 八 月 推
出 財 務 會 計 員 基 礎 考 試 。 這 個 考 試 涵 蓋 了 企 業 、 會
計 與 財 務 概 論 ( 企 會 財 ) 的 課 程 內 容 , 協 助 高 中 生 達
到 更 廣 泛 的 新 高 中 課 程 範 圍 的 要 求 , 亦 可 作 為 學 生
日 後 成 為 專 業 會 計 師 的 基 礎 培 訓 。 新 考 試 受 到 不 少
正 準 備 香 港 中 學 文 憑 試 的 中 學 生 歡 迎 , 成 績 令 人 鼓
舞 。
