on public or out with regula<strong>to</strong>ry control <strong>the</strong>n public<br />
consultation.<br />
• Consult on <strong>the</strong> planned long term <strong>review</strong>/revision of<br />
site licence conditions and of <strong>the</strong> Safety Assessment<br />
Principles, and impact of licensees’ decommissioning<br />
strategies.<br />
• But NII would issue a Direction <strong>to</strong> shut down a facility<br />
or s<strong>to</strong>p an operation without public consultation.<br />
