Data on releases and doses?
• The annual report “Radioactivity in Food and the
Environment” includes data on actual discharges
made in 2002 and authorised discharge limits, for all
nuclear installations in the UK.
• The report “UK Strategy for Radioactive Discharges
2001-2020” has graphs showing discharges from UK
nuclear industry sectors from 1979 to 2000 and
estimates of future discharges to 2020 (target of at
most 20 microSv predicted maximum dose).
