SPENT FUEL MANAGEMENT PRACTICES Magnox fuel is stored wet in ponds but dry at Wylfa, and then reprocessed at Sellafield. AGR fuel is stored wet in ponds at sites and sent to Sellafield for either reprocessing or long term wet storage UK PWR fuel is stored wet in the Sizewell B storage pond. 94
SPENT FUEL MANAGEMENT PRACTICES LWR fuel from Europe and Japan is stored wet in ponds and reprocessed at Sellafield. Options for the remaining UK fast reactor fuel are under consideration. Other spent fuels are stored at UKAEA or BNFL sites. 95
