Can Customers Voluntarily Consent to Disclosure of Their Information to
MFEs?
• Customers may voluntarily consent to allow EGT and/or MRT to share the customer's
information with an MFE. For example, a transmission customer may allow CES to act
as its agent for the purposes of making nominations, receiving invoices, etc.
• This consent must be in writing and notice of such consent must be posted on EGT
and/or MRT's Internet websites along with a statement that EGT and/or MRT did not
provide any preferences, either operational or rate-related, in exchange for voluntary
consent.
• EGT and/or MRT are required to maintain copies of such written consents for five
years.
