Coaches needed for
youth baseball
Want to participate in
an outstanding volunteer
opportunity? Apply to be a
coach for the Hurlburt Youth
Baseball team. Experience
is preferred, but all are encouraged
to apply. Coaches
will attend a two-hour training
and certification class,
and then begin two weeks of
pre-season practices and 8-
10 weeks of week night and
occasional Saturday games
in Shalimar. Coaches will
have access to information
on basic coaching fundamentals
and drills to conduct
during practices. For

Mini Music Masters:
Parent and Me. Child/Parent
instruction in: vocal,
percussion, musical games.
Ages 2 - 5, 45 - minute class.

A playgroup for moms,
pops and their tots ages 2-
5 years. Some structured
activities are planned on a
monthly basis, with occasional
outings away from

children 0-2 years old, and
from 10 – 11 a.m. Wednesdays
for children 2-4 years
old. The 2-4 year-old group

Lonewolf golf tournament
is scheduled for 6:30
a.m. April 14 at the Gator
Lakes Golf Course. Threeperson
team event. $10 entry
fee plus applicable green/
cart fee. Every six holes,
one team member plays
their own ball. The other
members play a two-person
scramble on remaining
holes. Lonewolf and scramble
score are added together
for team score. Each
team member plays six
holes as a Lonewolf. GHIN
is required to compete for

he didn’t he just said, ‘Hooah, a chance for another save, I
want the mission’.”
It wasn’t that he had to take the mission because it was
his turn, he wanted the mission because he wanted to save
lives, Panning said.
“That was the type of man he was,” Panning said.
The crew, all except for Avery who had not been positively
identified at the time, received a full honors funeral
were buried at Arlington Nov. 17, 1997. However, advancements
in DNA testing allowed the Department of Defense
POW/Missing Personnel Office to officially identify his
remains and release them to his family for service at his
final resting place.
