Repaired and sporting new stainless steel grilles (and our headboard), 47828 led a seven loco convoy away from the Works on the 2 nd <strong>April</strong>, destined for Crewe, 37409, 37607, 20303, 20301, 20302 and 20304. The Class 20s are apparently to be used for engineering trains in the Hull area shortly. Coaching Stock: 47828 and 47805 top ‘n’ tailed Northern Belle FO 3267 ‘BELVOIR’ into the Works on the 14 th . The FO is to be overhauled. 47805 departed for Carlisle on the 20 th with 6117 (see below) and 6122, the first two overhauled DRS Mk2 TSOs. A rare visitor to the Works these days is West Coast 33207 which collected DBSOs 9707, 9705 and 9713 and took them to RVEL at Derby on the 21 st 8
33207 + DBSOs were later seen passing Oxford at 14.13 (photo by David Elliott) Units: Completed 455832 departed on the 14 th , replaced the same day by 455831 (both seen side by side below) which itself departed on the 29 th . The next 455 was due in on the 3 rd <strong>April</strong>. Class 450s visiting Siemens have been; 089, 544, 081, 568, 085 and 566 plus at least one more that I missed! Wagons: DBS red 66118 arrived on the East Yard trip with IVA 2398 572-0 and departed with repaired IVA 2398 555-5. 66594 was on the Maritime trip on the 11 th , arriving with FEABs 640425, 640426 and departing with repaired KTA 97736, FLAs 606002, 605015, 605006, 605002, 606012. 31190 arrived on the 12 th with JRAs for repair 6790 058-5, 030-4, 088-2, 051-0 (the latter having been taken out of storage). 66416 was on the Maritime trip on the 25 th , arriving with KTAs 97724, 97762, 97733, KFA 92561, FLAs 606007, 605003, 605023, 605026, 606009 and departed with repaired KTA 97736 and FEABs 640045, 640046. London Underground: Ex-LU pre-1938 Standard car L130 was scrapped on the 6 th , the motor bogie and various other useful parts being saved for the LT Museum. photos by Carl Watson 9
