GROUP LEADER POSITION in NEUROBIOLOGY
Applications are invited for a group leader position at the IMP in Vienna, Austria.
The IMP wishes to expand its growing neuroscience faculty, and is particularly interested in
candidates applying molecular, genetic, physiological and/or computational methods to the
study of neural circuit function in vertebrate systems.
This position can be filled at either the junior or senior level.
The IMP offers internationally competitive salaries, generous funds for positions, investments
and running costs and full access to scientific services, including the newly opened 2000 m 2
mouse house.
The IMP conducts basic research in molecular cell biology, neurobiology and molecular medicine.

IMP Vienna Fellowships for
INDEPENDENT POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHERS
IMP Fellows are given the opportunity to conduct innovative and independent research in any
area of the molecular life sciences.
IMP Fellows will receive an attractive salary, full set up and running costs, opportunity to train
undergraduate students, and access to the research services at the IMP and IMBA, including
biooptics, mass spectrometry, bioinformatics, DNA sequencing, media kitchen, and animal
facilities. IMP Fellows may select one or more mentors from the IMP and IMBA faculty, but will
conduct and publish their research independently.
Applicants must have obtained their PhD not more than 18 months prior to the application date.
IMP Fellowships are offered for 4 years, with possible promotion to a group leader position after
3 years.
