How to get from ISS to the Stuttgart main train
station
Walk out the school driveway and turn left and left again at the corner. Continue up Albstrasse
and cross at the zebra crossing which will take you to the bus stop. Board any bus stopping there
as the first stop is the bus terminal in Degerloch.
Descend the escalator and wait on the platform to your right. Take either the #5 or #6 train DO
NOT TAKE #8 (it does not go downtown).
Disembark at: Schlossplatz if you want to be in the centre of town on the “shopping mile” (6 th
stop)
Disembark at Arnulf-Klett Hauptbahnhof if you want to return to the main train station (7 th
stop)
Or
If you want to take a long-distance train from the main station: When you step out of the Ubahn
go back in the direction from which the train has travelled and take the escalator to the
upper floor. Turn left at the top and continue up the second escalator which will take you inside
the train station. To reach the platforms, take the facing stairs or escalator to the upper level.
If you want to continue to the airport: Step out of the train and continue in the direction of train
travel and up the escalator. At the orange ticket machines you will need to purchase an additional
two zone ticket for the fare to the airport. Punch your ticket in the orange punch box machine
located at the top of the descending escalator. Descend to the S-Bahn platforms. (There are
escalators at both ends of the gangway) Wait for a #2 or #3 train with an airport symbol and the
word ‘Flughafen’ on the front. The ride is about 15 minutes. When you disembark, you will be
under the airport. Take two escalator rides up to the Departures level.
Dress Code:
MUN delegates are required to dress in business-like attire.
No jeans or denim skirts
No sport shoes
No mini-skirts or other revealing clothing.
Dress/sport jacket (Sakko), dress pants, shirt and tie are suggested for boys.
*When addressing the General Assembly males must wear a suit jacket.
Girls may wear a skirt, dress or dress trousers.
Think of dressing for an office job or an interview.
Remember to respect the sensitivity of other nations when selecting your apparel.
Failure to adhere to the dress code will result in dismissal from the conference.
