FOCUS ON OUR ST. COLETTE PARISH FAMILY…. A Warm Welcome to Our Parish Family Mr. & Mrs. Todd Schrader & family Mr. & Mrs. Scott Wroten & family Mr, & Mrs. James Butcher BAPTISM CLASS The next Baptism Class will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 7:00pm at St. Colette. Diocesan policy requires attendance at a Baptism Class for parents who are planning to present their first child for the Sacrament of Baptism. To register call the Parish Office at 330-273-5500 Catholic Works of Mercy: Along with St. Ambrose Parish we will continue to collect non-perishable food items, especially on the third weekend of each month. We are especially in need of peanut butter, jam, boxed macaroni & cheese, pancake mix & syrup. The St. Colette Care Ministry wants to honor the military members of our parish who are serving overseas. If you have a child, grandchild or close relative who is currently overseas we would like to shower him/her with care packages. Please Join Us!! PYSANKI CLASS Have you ever wondered what all the symbols on pysanki mean, or where they came from? Have you ever wanted to know how to make them yourself? St. Emilian Church, 1231 Substation Rd. Brunswick will have a Pysanki class on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 1-5pm. The class will be taught by Jeannette Cripps and will include the history and symbolism of pysanki as well as how to make them. Rusyn and Ukrainian styles will be discussed and demonstrated. Participants will have the opportunity to make pysanki and will also receive materials to make them at home. Cost of the class is $10, age twelve and up please. Call 330-225-9857 ext. 2 to register. Daughters of St. Colette Ash Wednesday Dinner The Daughters of St. Colette will be cooking a meatless rigatoni dinner on Ash Wednesday from 4:30pm until 7pm. Please mark your calendar and come support our women’s group. More details to follow in upcoming bulletins. Guest Speaker On Monday, February 18th, we will be hosting a guest speaker, Mary Lou Beers. She and her late husband appeared on Sixty Minutes in a documentary on Lourdes, were written up in a featured article in the Family Circle, Reader’s Digest, and St. Anthony Messenger and are published as one of THE forty couples in Cleveland Couples. Please consider coming and hearing about their faith filled journey through life. Holy Name Society Handy Man Crew Are you in need of a small repair in your home? If you have a leaky faucet, a small caulking job, a small electrical issue, etc., please come to the Parish office and fill out a handy man request form and someone will get back to you shortly.
