Roger Trinchero Recently Accepted Patriot Award<br />
Trinchero Family Estates Recognized for its<br />
Support of Employees Serving in the Military<br />
Trinchero Family Estates announced Vice<br />
Chairman and CEO, Roger Trinchero, has<br />
accepted the Patriot Award for the company’s<br />
support of the National Guard and Reserve<br />
Forces. The Patriot Award is given by the<br />
Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve<br />
(ESGR), a Department of Defense organization,<br />
to companies with personnel policies<br />
benefiting employees serving in the United<br />
States Armed Forces.<br />
Roger Trinchero, a Vietnam veteran, was<br />
nominated for the award by Christopher F.<br />
Burton, a Major serving in the United States<br />
Army Reserve, currently deployed on active<br />
duty. Burton, a Sutter Home <strong>Wine</strong>ry tasting<br />
room employee for the past several years,<br />
was pulled from retirement in 2009 to serve<br />
two tours in Iraq. He currently is stationed in<br />
Alabama. Trinchero Family Estates policy<br />
supports Chris and other veterans by holding<br />
their jobs for them, providing guaranteed<br />

employment when they return from their<br />
duties.<br />
“The men and women serving America<br />
deserve to be honored and supported while<br />
they are out protecting our country, risking<br />
life and limb,” said Roger Trinchero. “We are<br />
honored to support Chris during his time in<br />
the Army, and if we can be an example to<br />
other companies on how to support these<br />
amazing employees – who also happen to be<br />
troops – we are happy to do so.”<br />
The Employer Support of the Guard and<br />
Reserve (ESGR) department conducts an<br />
awards program designed to recognize<br />
employers that support a strong National<br />
Guard and Reserve Force. Employers qualify<br />
for recognition by practicing leadership and<br />
personnel policies that support employee<br />
participation in the Guard and Reserve. The<br />
ESGR was established in 1972 and has recognized<br />
thousands of American companies for<br />
their support of the military.<br />
